Strengthening Teen Leadership: LET Bootcamp Webuye 2024 Highlights

The 2024 L.E.T. Bootcamp in Webuye, Bungoma County, was a dynamic three-day learning and empowerment experience designed to equip teenagers with the skills, knowledge, and inspiration to thrive beyond high school.

Why Webuye?

Webuye Sub-County, home to over 42,000 people, has faced economic challenges since the closure of Pan African Paper Mills in 2008. While agriculture, retail, and small-scale enterprises are slowly reviving the economy, young people continue to grapple with:

  • Teenage pregnancy

  • Drug abuse

  • Low literacy levels

  • High youth unemployment

The L.E.T. Bootcamp seeks to address these issues by offering teenagers alternative pathways in leadership, entrepreneurship, and technology.
